The Public Sector Performance Commission
The Public Sector Performance Commission (PSPC) ensures that South Australians benefit from a high performing public sector regarded as amongst the best of its kind. The PSPC works to provide the building blocks and momentum to support collaboration across agencies and within the community, through business, education, and national and local government.
Transforming Culture - Creating public facing organisations
**VENUE CHANGED**
The Public Sector Performance Commission is pleased to announce the next seminar in its ‘Challenging the Public Sector’ series in partnership with the Australia and New Zealand School of Government (ANZSOG).
Transforming Culture – Creating public facing organisations
To meet changing public needs we must drive to the very core of the organisation and its people. Government agencies must look outward to be public facing organisations that are capable, dynamic and able to respond to the changing world around them.
This seminar will feature Jerome Maguire, Chief Executive of the Department of Justice, and Felicity-ann Lewis, Mayor of the City of Marion, discussing how changing organisational culture can be harnessed to improve services to the community.

On 16 November the Public Sector Performance Commission and the Australia and New Zealand School of Government ‘Challenging the Public Sector’seminar series presented Prof Jim McDavid and Jeff Tryens discussing the challenges of instituting meaningful performance management and reporting systems, particularly in the context of South Australia’s newly announced High Performance Framework.

Nov 2009 - Leading Practice Seminars
During Public Sector Week 2009, the PSPC will present its inaugural series of informal seminars on practices that are in the forefront of public sector performance excellence.Â
The 2009 Leading Practice Seminars will bring together people from different agencies to discuss key issues and share good ideas for improving government performance.
This is an excellent opportunity for public sector specialists - and those with a general interest in organisational practice - to learn from, and engage with, practitioners who are leaders in their fields.
